For religious & charitable trusts

Software for religious and charitable trusts

A trust’s two biggest risks sit in a cupboard and a receipt book: property papers nobody can find, and donation receipts nobody can verify. SwaDharma puts the papers in a locker with reminders, and the receipts on a numbered ledger with your 80G wording.

A trust property record in DMS with document locker, tax, lease and court case

What is religious trust management software?

Religious trust management software keeps a trust’s property, documents, donations and accounts in one auditable place. On SwaDharma, DMS records each property’s acquisition — purchase, registered or non-registered donation — with the mother-deed chain, stores RTC, Khata and Encumbrance Certificates, and reminds you of taxes, lease expiries and court hearings. Netra prints receipts carrying your 80G registration text and exports to Tally; Kshetra keeps guest-house and hall accounts with a GST summary.

What trusts tell us

The trust office problems we hear most

The original deed is with a former trustee

DMS keeps a scanned copy of every document in a locker with permission-gated download and in-browser PDF preview. Google Drive links can sit beside uploaded files.

A property-tax date was missed — again

Property tax is tracked by financial year as paid or pending, with receipts. Reminders go out at your lead time, 7 days before, on the day and when overdue.

Lease rents are collected in a diary

Lease agreements, tenant KYC and a rent ledger by cash, bank or UPI. Unpaid rent and lease expiry both trigger reminders.

Court dates live in the advocate’s phone

Each case is tied to its property, with case type, court, parties, advocate, status and hearing dates — and a reminder before every hearing.

Donation receipts are handwritten and inconsistent

Netra prints your 80G registration number and wording on every receipt, keeps the donor’s PAN encrypted where given, and never reuses a receipt number.

Hall and guest-house income sits outside the books

Kshetra books the trust’s halls and rooms and keeps bank and cash accounts, contra entries, a daybook and a GST summary, with Tally export.

Compliance, precisely

What the software does for 80G, GST and audits — and what it doesn’t

Trusts get burned by software that over-promises on compliance. Here is the exact line.

RequirementWhat SwaDharma doesWhat the trust still does

Getting the property file in order

How a trust moves its land records into DMS

This is usually a two-to-three-sitting job for the trust office, with our team on the other end of a call.

  1. List the properties

Enter each parcel with survey number, village, taluk, district and PIN, and pin it on the map with GPS.

  2. Record how each was acquired

Purchase, registered donation or non-registered donation — with donor details and the mother-deed chain behind it.

  3. Upload and date the papers

RTC/Pahani, Khata, Encumbrance Certificate and deeds go into the locker, each with an expiry date where one applies.

  4. Add taxes, leases and cases

Once tax years, leases and hearing dates are in, DMS starts sending reminders by email and WhatsApp through Vani.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Something else? Write to hello@swadharmasetu.com or book a demo.

Is SwaDharma 80G trust software?

Partly. Netra prints your 80G registration number and wording on donation receipts and keeps donor PAN encrypted. It does not file Form 10BD or generate Form 10BE; the trust does that on the income-tax portal. Our 80G guide explains the steps.

Who in the trust can download a deed?

Only people whose role allows it. DMS gates document download by permission, offers in-browser PDF preview, and supports custom per-module, per-action permissions with an audit trail.

Do property reminders go by SMS?

No. DMS sends reminders by email and WhatsApp through Vani, at a lead time you set, 7 days before, on the day and when overdue.

Can a charitable trust that is not a temple use it?

Yes. DMS is built for temples, maths, charitable trusts and endowment boards alike, and Netra issues donation receipts for any religious or charitable trust.

Does the software handle tenant KYC for leased trust property?

Yes. DMS records lease agreements with tenant KYC and a rent ledger by mode — cash, bank or UPI — and reminds you about unpaid rent and lease expiry.

Can our CA get the data in Tally?

Yes, from Netra and Kshetra. Netra’s Tally Manager maps your ledgers and exports Tally XML vouchers; Kshetra has its own Tally export. DMS exports its 12 report types to CSV.

Find out which of your papers are missing

In the demo we load three of your properties into DMS. The gaps — a missing mutation copy, an expired EC — usually show up in the first ten minutes.
